About ScrapeCheck
ScrapeCheck is operated by Fieldmode LLC, a New York limited liability company.
The service has been running since July 2026.
We answer one question: is a value someone reports from a web page actually on that page. You give us a URL and the value you believe came from it. We fetch the page ourselves, from our own infrastructure, and return a signed verdict: pass, fail, or unverifiable.
The point is that you do not have to take our word for it. Every verdict is signed with an ed25519 key we publish, so you, your customer, or a counterparty in a dispute can check any verdict offline without trusting us or this website.
We say unverifiable when we cannot confirm something. We do not guess, and an unverifiable is never quietly converted into a pass. A page we could not read is a fact about our attempt to read it, not a judgement about the page.
Scope, stated plainly
We read server-rendered pages: what a direct fetch of a URL actually returns. Pages that only produce their content after JavaScript runs come back unverifiable. If most of what you need checked is JavaScript-only, this service will tell you so rather than produce results worth less than they look.
